I recently signed up for a monthly subscription box called ‘Love with Food.’ For those who are unfamiliar, this company sends a monthly box of yummy organic and/or all natural snacks. Every box equals one meal that feeds a hungry child. It’s an interesting way to try new healthier things and it’s for a good cause as well. I got my first box in the middle of December, and decided to make a tasting video with my husband, which was a little rocky but entertaining.
I’m going to tell you a little bit about each product and link to where you can learn more about them and buy if you want to. Starting on the left and working our way to the right.
“Elegant little French cakes with distinctive shell shapes. Rich and buttery with a unique flavor and texture, soft and moist with lightly crisped edges, they are made with the finest quality, all natural ingredients.” -Love with Food.
My husband and I both liked this but we agreed that they are a little bit plain. They reminded us of shortbread cookies, if they were soft like a snack cake.
“Snow Angell, our sleeper hit. Everyone who tries it loves it. Even chocolate purists who think white chocolate is not chocolate. A subtler candy bar made from creamy white chocolate wrapped around a delicious, organic coconut center. No nuts whatsoever. So good it gives you chills!” -Angell Website
My husband liked this candy bar despite his distaste for coconut. While I love coconut, I despise white chocolate so I didn’t really like it, but that’s just my personal taste.
“Old-fashioned flavor with a modern kick. Molasses, ginger, and vanilla combine to create a year-round chewy molasses treat reminiscent of crisp fall days, perfect with a glass of ice-cold milk.” -Grey Ghost Bakery
These cookies are awesome! They taste like a mix between gingerbread and oatmeal cookies… to us anyway! They are sweet and delicious.
“Powerfully flavorful, the richness of l’Ancienne Powdered Chocolate’s body yields undertones of fruitiness, which blend with natural vanilla for a subtle and smooth finish. The careful roasting of the beans selected from renowned provenances brings out the excellence of the natural aroma of the cocoa beans ripened in the tropics.” -Love with Food
This hot chocolate is delicious and rich, my husband enjoyed a mug full paired with the next product on the list…
“Madyson’s gourmet marshmallow beverage toppers are perfect to sweeten up your warm drinks. Enjoy your next mocha or hot cocoa topped with an artisan marshmallow instead of whipped cream!” -Madyson’s Marshmallows
There isn’t really much to say about a marshmallow because that’s all this is, however it is pretty cool. The marshmallow is soft and melts into gooey deliciousness on your hot chocolate!
“Experience the intense flavors of cocoa beans coupled with the rich aromas in this dark bar. EXCELLENCE 70% Cocoa is a full-bodied dark chocolate, masterfully balanced to be neither bitter nor overpowering. Expertly crafted with the finest ingredients.” -Lindt Website
I LOVE dark chocolate and it seems like the 70% is perfect for me. The higher the percentage the more bitter the chocolate, so this is a good medium between bitter and sweet. Love it, love it, love it.
“Using a handful of natural ingredients, 34 Degrees carefully bakes their wafer-thin crackers until they are subtly toasty and overtly tasty.” -Love with Food
These little crisps are kind of odd. I don’t see them being all that great for dipping even though they are recommended to use with the Spinach Dip. They are VERY thin and break easily. They are a little bit sweet and a little bit savory, I could see using them on a party platter of some kind.
“Desert Garden dips are addictive! Winter or summer, the Spinach Dip is great for parties, barbecues and holidays. Its easy to make and sure to be a crowd pleaser! Just add 1.5 cups of sour cream and .5 cup mayonnaise.” -Love with Food
I have nothing to say about this product… because we haven’t made it yet. I will update after we have used it. (Most likely over the Holiday while entertaining!)
“A hint of cane sugar enhances the natural nuttiness of the sweet potato in a chip that is a riff on a classic baked sweet potato.” -Food Should Taste Good
These are so good! Salty and crunchy, they taste like… tortilla chips. I couldn’t really taste the sweet potato, which is fine with me. I could see myself eating that spinach dip with these!
Last but not least we have: St. Claire’s Organic Peppermints
“St.Claire’s Organics Peppermints are the ideal blend of mint and sweetness. Not to mention that these mints are GMO-free, Wheat-free, Gluten-free, Nut-free, Dairy-free, Soy-free, Corn-free, Casein-free, and 100% vegetarian.” -Love with Food
My husband tried these because I don’t care for peppermint. They are very strong and he likes them! That’s all I can really say about it!
That’s it for snacks, however my box did include a couple of non-edible things. A thin tote bag with the ‘Love with Food’ logo on it, which is nice. Also I received a $35 gift care to www.hellofresh.com. That’s all folks! Hope you enjoyed this subscription box reveal and tasting!
